WAST is a grassroots network, we are led by and for our members. We build the capacity of our members to help them survive the asylum system.
We do this by developing members’ confidence, help them to develop new skills and provide opportunities to take part in activities that help overcome the trauma of their experiences.

Right now, over 20% of our members are living in destitution. That’s 1 in 5 women with no access to safe accommodation, asylum support or the means to buy food and basic necessities.
