Opportunity: Join our board

Do you believe in justice, solidarity and safe spaces for women seeking asylum? Then why not join our board of trustees and help support our grassroots charity run by and for women seeking asylum.

Due to the retirement of three long-standing trustees, we currently have an amazing opportunity for four women to join our Board of Trustees – including one role as a Treasurer.

This is a voluntary but highly rewarding role, helping to steer our grassroots organisation and make an impact with our communities.

Who are we looking for?

As a network run by and for women seeking asylum, we’d especially love to hear from anyone with lived experience of the UK’s asylum or immigration system. If this is your experience, we’ve joined forces with the Experts by Experience Employment Initiative, who support inclusive recruitment and provide helpful resources via their website.

If this isn’t your experience, don’t worry. We’re happy to hear from any potential applicants who may bring other skills, qualities or experience to the Board.

What skills or experience do you need?

The current Board have a diverse range of skills. We particularly welcome applications from women with experience of campaigning, fundraising or human resources. But if you bring other qualities, we’d welcome your application.

What’s the dealine?
